Designing for people & the planet

I taught Industrial Design graduate and undergraduate students for 3 semesters. During these classes, students addressed real-world challenges and learned to use physical and digital tools to communicate their designs.

In my teaching of Industrial Design at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, I have focused on preparing my students to address complex challenges in the world, including sustainability, accessibility, and mental health.

Digital Society School is a diverse and international community of individuals from various fields coming together for a 5 month traineeship program that works with real-life clients on projects relating to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

I mentored students on creating projects that benefit the community, specifically organizations that assist individuals with disabilities. The lab was lively with a blend of design, engineering, and business.

Studio 930 is a design consultancy at RIT where students collaborate with local therapy and healthcare communities to address real-world issues. I have led and guided several projects that were created and tested with input from the community.

I hosted many online and in-person workshops, to share knowledge and collaborate on the topics of sustainability, iterative brainstorming, rapid prototyping, and the importance of mindful Industrial Design.
